Aditya Birla Real Estate Receives Independent ESG Rating of 67.4 for FY2025

Aditya Birla Real Estate Limited received an independent ESG rating of 67.4 for FY2025 from SES ESG Research Pvt. Ltd., as disclosed to stock exchanges on 31st March, 2026. The rating was assigned without company engagement, based on publicly available FY2024-25 information, and is now available on BSE and NSE websites in compliance with SEBI regulations.

What the Rating Covers

The rating agency conducted its evaluation based on publicly available information about the company pertaining to FY2024-25, following their own criteria and methodology. SES ESG Research uses an ESG Score Evaluation Model with over 400 questions based on both legal/mandatory and voluntary frameworks/global best practices, and has been vetted by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and NSE.

Beyond the SES rating, Aditya Birla Real Estate's real estate arm Birla Estates has demonstrated measurable sustainability commitments across its portfolio. In GRESB rating, Birla Estates scored 96 in Development portfolio (Residential), ranking 4th in Asia (residential–non listed category) and 90 in Standing Investments (Commercial portfolio), securing 3rd in India with five star ratings.

Birla Estates is participating in Global Real Estate Sustainability benchmark (GRESB), which provides actionable and transparent environmental, social and governance (ESG) data to financial markets, collecting, validating, scoring, and independently benchmarking ESG data.

Sustainability Initiatives

The company has implemented multiple environmental and social measures across its operations. Birla Estates showcased its dedication to water conservation by using 4.3 million litres of treated sewage water across its projects, significantly reducing fresh water consumption in construction activities.

100% buildings of Birla Estates commercial and residential portfolio are green building certified, meeting LEED or IGBC standards. Additional initiatives include EV charging infrastructure, biodiversity assessments across projects, and development of green spaces. The company achieved 33% female representation in the Board of Directors.
